1)      Vincent Van Gogh was an artist he was called the chief symbol of erxpression, this man was born in Groot-zundert, Holland. He was born in 1853 he passed away in 1890.His father was a pastor. This artist grew up with a religious background as well as cultured. He lacked self-confidence. Vincent became an artist between the years of1860-1880.this man studied art and actually sold it at one point of his life.

2)      He was famous because he created art that had a purpose, to create happiness and beauty.

3)      Some events that were happening in the U.S was the civil war, the emancipation proclamation reconstruction, jims crows laws.

4)      The community that I was raised in did not exist during this time.
